Troy Billett is a Financial Strategist and an Impact Investor with the goal of cultivating social good by connecting investors, startups, and mentors together.
Troy’s career involved successful fundraising from venture capitalists, foundations, and angel investors. Troy Billett is also a superconnector for Harvard University and a Mentor for MIT (EnergyHack), Harvard Law School, Climate Solutions Living Lab, and The Canadian Entrepreneurs in New England (CENE).
Troy is also a well-regarded public speaker for social entrepreneurship events hosted by the MIT Sloan School of Management, Shell TechWorks, Hult International Business School, Clean Energy Venture Group, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, World Climate, Northeast Clean Energy Council, Horizon18, Franklin University Switzerland, Northeastern University, and Harvard College.
Troy serves as an advisor for several social enterprises and companies, such as Eden GeoTech. As stated in its name, Eden is a geo-tech company with the mission to make scalable, sustainable extraction of Earth’s geothermal heat and natural resources possible. Eden GeoTech is developing the first-ever Electrical Reservoir Stimulation Technology with applications in the geothermal mining and petroleum industries. A safer and more efficient method of recovering Earth’s natural resources.
Troy is the Principal of Tech Wildcatters, which is a venture capital fund focusing on seed to series A+ stage tech and tech-enabled companies with outstanding founders who have a global influence. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and founded in 2009 as one of the first 15 accelerators in the world, they have backed numerous companies and were nationally recognized by the MIT and Forbes.
